Arlington County Government is seeking part-time lifeguards for the Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center to monitor two pools and ensure guest safety.

Shifts vary early mornings to evenings. Candidates must have American Red Cross Lifeguarding (or able to obtain within 30 days) plus CPR/First Aid/AED certifications; a background check may be conducted.

Preference for prior lifeguard experience and a High School Diploma/GED.

Competenze

• Must be able to swim proficiently.
• American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• CPR, First Aid/AED certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Background check may be conducted (criminal, driving, education, licensure, and credit history).

Mansioni

• Observe and enforce pool rules and water safety policies while maintaining safe water quality.
• Greet patrons and guests.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training.
• Serve as on-deck lifeguard to cover shifts.
• Provide emergency care and treatment.
• Complete incident/accident reports and water chemistry logs.
• Ensure compliance with County policies and health standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
