Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Troy, MI is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard dedicated to safety and service. You will monitor indoor and outdoor pools, assist with water slides, and help host aquatic events such as Dive in Movies and Poolapalooza.

You must be working toward a high school diploma or GED and hold StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certifications (or be bridged within a year). The role requires strong customer interaction and physical fitness to swim and perform rescues.

Qualifications

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Position Requirements

• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience
