Job summary

Life Time, Inc. is seeking an Aquatics Lifeguard to oversee indoor/outdoor pools and water features. You will monitor the deck, assist members, and help with events while maintaining high safety standards.

The role requires StarGuardElite CPR/First Aid certification, strong swimming ability, and excellent guest services. This is an hourly position with comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities at Life Time facilities.

Qualifications

• StarGuardElite Lifeguard certification and CPR/BLS First Aid required or bridge within 1st year.
• Ability to swim 300 yards and tread water for 1 minute.
• Able to lift 20 lbs and work in a public recreational facility.

Position Summary

As an Aquatics Lifeguard, you must be safety minded and customer service oriented. You will work in a fast-paced environment and will help to oversee state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoor and out. You will monitor the pool deck and maintain safety on water slides. You will help with aquatics events, such as “Dive in Movies” & “Poolapalooza.”

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with Members
• Rescues swimmers in danger of drowning and administers first aid
• Ensures swimmers are aware of potentially dangerous swim areas and activities
• Keeps the pool area clean and orderly to ensure the safety of the Members

Position Requirements

• Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
• StarGuardElite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge toStarGuardwhen current certification expires or within 1styear, whichever is first)
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute
• Ability to swim, retrieve a 10 lb diving brick from the bottom of the pool and swim the brick to the top without stopping
• Ability to routinely bend to raise more than 20 lbs

Preferred Requirements

• 6 months of customer service experience

Pay

This is an hourly position with wages starting at $16.00 and pays up to $19.00, based on experience and qualifications.
