Position: Aquatics Coordinator

The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for the position of Aquatics Coordinator in the Parks and Recreation Department. Under the supervision of the Parks and Recreation Supervisor, the incumbent assists with the development and is responsible for organizing and coordinating swimming pool programs and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 2 years of related experience and/or training
• 12 to 18 months of related management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Nationally recognized Lifeguarding Certification (Basic First Aid, Emergency Oxygen, CPR/AED) from American Red Cross, YMCA, StarGuard, or Ellis & Assoc (shallow & deep water)
• Experience in staff development, program development, and the operation and maintenance of swimming pools; Lifeguard Instructor Certification preferred
• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and insurable

Additional Information:

• This is a seasonal position with a starting salary of $18.2552/hr
