Job summary

Florida Gulf Coast University’s University Recreation & Wellness seeks a Coordinator II, Aquatics & Adventures to oversee daily operations of the Lee County/FGCU Aquatics Center, South Village Pool, and related programs.

The role develops events, manages staff, ensures safety, maintains equipment, and analyzes data to improve services while coordinating with professional staff across teams. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or six years related full-time experience.
• Experience in aquatic, waterfront, or outdoor recreation programming.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operation of facilities, programs, and services.
• Develop and implement events, clinics, rentals, trips, and activities.
• Manage staff schedules, on-site programs, and safety protocols.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and equipment across facilities.
• Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate student employees; oversee budgets.
