Job summary

Sweetwater Union High School District in California is seeking a Swimming Pool Facilitator to oversee operation and maintenance of the site pool, assist in planning community groups and classes, and ensure tasks are completed safely and on time.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and courses in water safety.
• Three years of experience as lifeguard and/or swimming instructor.
• Experience supervising aquatic staff and coordinating activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct water safety and pool programs while ensuring compliance with safety requirements.
• Coordinate activities and supervise assigned aquatic staff to meet district needs.
• Inspect pool and surrounding areas for safety, chemicals, temperature and clarity.
• Monitor students and staff to enforce rules and ensure safe conduct around the pool.
