Job summary

Avera Health in Aberdeen, WA is seeking a part-time Aquatic Center Coordinator to support daily operations of the Therapy Center’s pool facilities. You will assist therapists with scheduling, safety, and patient-centered aquatic treatments, ensuring smooth facility usage and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating pool use, assisting with staff training, maintaining equipment, and documenting safety records.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing goals and objectives for programs with the Leader.
• Coordinates ongoing training and orientation, including new safety techniques, equipment, and research findings to the staff and document appropriately.
• Assists the therapists as requested with patient care in the aquatic center.
• Assists in developing and maintaining quality improvement records related to safety techniques in the aquatic center.
• Establishes and maintains communications within the department and with other hospital departments.
• Maintains the aquatic facilities and equipment in a condition to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety of the patients and staff.
• Assists in evaluating equipment and supply needs and support submission of purchasing/capital requests.
• Assists Therapy Leader in reviewing and/or revising Aquatic Center policies.

A Brief Overview

Responsible for the daily coordination of facility usage for services provided in the Aquatic Center in accordance with the philosophy and objectives established for the hospital and the department. Ensures adequate safety measures for all staff and patients using the center.
