Position Overview

The Aquatic Physical Therapist will be responsible for assessing and providing therapeutic interventions to patients with a variety of physical ailments in an aquatic environment. The successful candidate will design and implement personalized treatment plans that leverage the therapeutic benefits of water-based therapy techniques to enhance recovery and promote overall well-being. This position requires a combination of clinical expertise and an ability to create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Patient Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical conditions, mobility, and functional abilities.
  2. Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized aquatic therapy treatment plans.
  3. Therapeutic Interventions: Implement various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, modalities, and patient education.
  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and outcomes in compliance with regulations and clinic policies, using Raintree.
  5. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about rehabilitation processes, home exercise programs, and preventative care strategies.
  6. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback.
  7. Professional Development: Stay updated on the latest research, techniques, and best practices in physical therapy through continuing education and professional growth opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and methodologies specific to aquatic therapy or a desire to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
