Job summary

Living Shores Aquarium is seeking a motivated, focused Aquatics Facilities Host to join our aquarium team. The role supports maintenance of life support systems, HVAC, and general facility upkeep in a busy, family-oriented environment.

Reporting to the Aquatics and Aquarium Facilities Supervisor, the position emphasizes on-the-job learning, safe work practices, and basic pump and chemical knowledge. This is a part-time, year-round opportunity with hands-on experience at a renowned attraction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Background in plumbing or pool maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of nitrogen cycle water chemistry and aquarium parameters.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain aquarium life support systems and HVAC operations.
• Perform maintenance on filtration and pumps and clean equipment.
• Keep accurate records of check-in/out using Microsoft applications; CMMS is a plus.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Assist in general facility upkeep and supplier tasks.
