Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ is seeking a hands-on Animal Care Specialist to support Senior Biologists and Curatorial staff in daily husbandry, water quality oversight, and exhibit maintenance.

You will handle feedings, records, training, enrichment, and respond to emergencies. This role requires flexibility, physical effort, and a safety‑critical mindset, with opportunities for growth and education programs.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years full-time animal care experience in a zoo or aquarium preferred; 3-4 years without a degree.
• Bachelor’s Degree in biology or related field preferred; may substitute with zoo/aquarium experience.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays; valid driver’s license; able to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily husbandry and maintain exhibit and holding areas.
• Provide for animal needs with feedings and water quality monitoring.
• Maintain records on care, health, and enrichment activities.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in education/public outreach.
