Job summary

Riverence is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager for our farm operations. This full-time role requires leadership to supervise and collaborate with the Farm Manager and a team, while maintaining strong communication and business acumen.

Experience in fish husbandry and recordkeeping is important, along with familiarity with relevant software. The incumbent will oversee all life stages of fish, support scheduling, train staff, manage health practices, and ensure compliance with SOPs and records.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in agricultural/fisheries/marine biology or related field preferred.
Knowledge of fish health practices and disease diagnostics is preferred.
Computer knowledge, recordkeeping, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability and supervisory experience.
Ability to schedule and complete tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, written and oral.

Responsibilities

Oversee all life stages of fish on farm.
Schedule and supervise day-to-day activities with Farm Manager.
Train and supervise team in fish handling, grading, movement, pond inventory, and more.
Manage day-to-day fish health practices and address health issues.
Maintain accurate records and participate in internal audits and regulatory compliance.
Become proficient with the company database program and reports.
Travel for continuing education and training as needed.
