Job summary

The Tinley Park-Park District is seeking an Aqua Aerobics Instructor to design, prepare, and deliver open-format group aqua aerobics classes at Tinley Fitness. Under the supervision of the Fitness Manager, you will create safe, engaging workouts for a diverse participant base.

Applicants must hold a current nationally recognized certification (Aqua Aerobics preferred) and CPR/AED. Prior group fitness experience is preferred, with strong communication skills to foster a welcoming class

Qualifications

• Certification from a nationally recognized fitness organization (e.g., IE AEA, SCW) is required.
• CPR/AED certification or ability to gain CPR certification is required.
• Previous experience teaching group fitness classes is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to foster a positive class environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, prepare, and deliver open-format aqua aerobics classes.
• Ensure safety and effectiveness of workouts for a diverse participant base.
• Work under the supervision of the Fitness Manager to tailor sessions and manage class flow.
