Sr. Acquisition Program Analyst

Position Overview:

Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking an Acquisition Program Analyst, APA, for our STAQSS II contract.

The STAQSS II contract supports the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ). The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization's resources for effective mission accomplishment, innovation, and technical competence. The contractor shall support acquisition and sustainment efforts to support Government organizations.

Responsibilities
  1. Supporting Headquarters Air Force (HAF) budget preparation, defense, SAE oversight, and PEO program execution of aircraft platforms.
  2. Maintaining and analyzing planning, scheduling, and management data.
  3. Studying, analyzing, and providing recommendations on requirements, strategies, documentation, transition plans, and program execution.
  4. Providing assessments of programs approaching milestones and contractor issues.
  5. Researching program trends, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.
  6. Making funding and program goal recommendations.
  7. Tracking compliance and identifying issues.
  8. Researching programmatic issues, tradeoffs, costs, and schedules.
  9. Reviewing and recommending on acquisition policies and policies impact.
  10. Maintaining documentation and developing briefings and training materials.
  11. Providing quick analyses of critical issues for various stakeholders.
  12. Preparing PPBE documentation to reflect current programs.
  13. Supporting review processes like AFROCs, DABs, Congressional cycles, etc.
  14. Reviewing MDR and FOIA requests.
  15. Monitoring ongoing studies and developmental work.
  16. Supporting program-specific efforts and requirements groups.
  17. Assisting in legislative preparations and ensuring consistent Air Force positions.
  18. Performing other related tasks as coordinated.
  19. Supporting Program Objective Memorandum (POM) & PPBE processes.
Qualifications
  1. Active Secret clearance.
  2. Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering.
  3. 10 years of acquisition experience in a System Program Office or Air Force HQ.
  4. Experience with DoD PPBE process and budget documentation.
  5. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Work Experience Substitutions:
  • 12 years relevant work experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.
  • BA/BS plus 8 years relevant experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.
