Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Production Operator in Reno, NV to support quality and safety on the production floor. You will monitor quality, assist in audits, and ensure adherence to 5S and QRQC practices while coordinating with team leaders to resolve defects.

Support all safety protocols in plant

Responsible of all the process audits such as:

• 5S.
• Respect of the product
• QRAP board
• Quality standards
• First piece article (FPA)
• All other quality related paperwork on production lines.

• Use and understand gauges, callipers, digital indicators, feeler gauges, etc.
• Support gauge calibration with lab (Identify those equipments that are out of calibration or prox to expire)
• Monitor scrap and other defects during your shift & support reactivity of issues.
• Launch and coordinate sorting activities and train others to perform a sorting. (good part / bad part)
• Support Quality Engineer with additional activities
• Make sure Helium mapping/Energy mapping is completed 100% at the end of the shift
• Use boundary samples to verify if parts are OK.
• Analysis and reactivity of scrap. Work with team leaders and supervisors to contain quality issues.
• Populate scrap documents electronically to create a scrap report.
• Escalate issues when needed and report accurately your findings during daily audits.
• Stops the production in case of non-conformity detections and ensures sorting of production to eliminate all nonconform parts and secure customer deliveries
• In case of non-conformity detections elevate the issue with Quality Technician to ensure sorting of production to eliminate all nonconform parts and secure customer deliveries.
• Continuous control of compliance with working standards such as Quality work instructions, book of defect, etc.
• Participate in the PSG ( Problem Solving Group) on the line.
• Analyse BAD parts - looks for root cause by keeping all rules and steps of QRQC
• Proceeds with operator training regarding any quality work instruction or any other quality document such as: Book of defects, Firewall inspection, EOL, etc.).
• Report out quality results on a daily basis (passdown) with analysis of the top 3 issues during the shifts, corrective actions, customer notifications, etc.
• Responsible for running Datapaq according to the schedule or when needed.
