Job summary

TAT Technologies seeks an APU Assembly Technician for our Greensboro, North Carolina facility. The role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and related components.

Responsibilities include reading manuals, using precision tools, entering data in the ERP system, and maintaining organized work areas. A minimum of 3 years in mechanical work is required, with preference for turbine engine experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical experience.
• Experience with turbine engine overhaul or engine component overhaul required.
• Preferred experience with Honeywell 331 series APUs.
• Technical school coursework in auto or diesel mechanics or machinist classes preferred.
• FAA Airframe and/or Power Plant license or equivalent certification preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in precision measuring equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English fluently.

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, rework, paint, package, and related tasks.

• Replace or repair damaged parts using hand, pneumatic, and precision tools.

• Maintain clean work areas and enforce tool/FOD control.
• Complete work orders, BOM, and data entry in the ERP system.
• Operate, maintain, and service specialized equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

TAT Technologies is seeking an APU Assembly Technician to join our Greensboro, North Carolina facility. This role involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) — turbine engines that provide power when the main engines are not running.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and maintain LRUs, components, parts, and tools.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, rework, paint, package, and perform other related tasks as assigned.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, technical data, and documents to determine approach and feasibility of tasks.
• Replace or repair damaged or worn engine and component parts using hand, pneumatic, and precision measuring tools.
• Assemble components using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, enforce proper tool and FOD control.
• Accurately complete work orders, bill of materials, and data entry within the ERP system.
• Operate, maintain, and service specialized equipment.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
