Volunteers of America, Utah is hiring a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in Utah. The APRN will perform psychiatric assessments, manage medications, and coordinate with physicians to provide comprehensive mental health care for individuals with severe disorders and co-occurring conditions.

The role requires PMHNP certification, Utah APRN licensure, prescribing authority, and experience with crisis intervention.

Competenze

• Current APRN license in Utah.
• PMHNP certification (PMHNP-BC) is required; FNP alone does not meet the requirement.
• Ability to enroll and credential with payers for evaluations and management.
• Prescriptive authority and Utah controlled substances license (DEA) required.
• Experience with serious mental illness and/or substance use preferred.
• Must demonstrate judgment, professionalism, and boundary setting.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; detail oriented.
• Proficient with Word and Excel; basic computer skills.
• Background screening must be cleared.

Mansioni

• Conduct psychiatric assessments including history and mental status.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications; assess response and adherence.
• Manage co-occurring disorders and MAT; coordinate with teams.
• Lead medication management and staff education as needed.
• Coordinate treatment planning and discharge planning.
• Complete documentation and insurance authorizations timely.
• Provide on-call and crisis intervention as required.
