UNM Hospitals is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver outpatient psychiatric care for adults 18+ in a clinic setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers outpatient psychiatric care in a clinic setting for adults 18+ within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), fully ambulatory position with no inpatient coverage, emphasizing continuity of care and patient-centered outcomes. Diagnoses treated include, but are not limited to, psychotic disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, personality disorders, developmental disabilities, and cognitive impairment.

Position Summary: Function as an advanced practice nurse in Behavioral Health in the roles of consultant, educator, practitioner and researcher. Prescribe and distribute drugs and controlled substances. Develop and implement patient care based on research and national practice standards designed to improve patient outcomes in specialized areas. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.
