Job summary

BayCare Health System in Florida seeks an Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider to extend physician services in the critical care setting. You will assess and manage patients, assist in bedside procedures, and care for those with ventilation and hemodynamic instability.

Responsibilities include addressing cardiology, neurology, oncology, and related areas, performing exams, interpreting tests, closing incisions, and counseling on treatment.

Qualifications

• APP must obtain and maintain Medical Staff privileges as required by the position.
• Acute Care Advanced Practice Practitioner Program Certification is preferred for this position.

• Provide care for patients who are typically intubated on ventilators and/or have hemodynamic instability.
• Address medical specialties including cardiology, neurology, oncology, pain management, nephrology, and related areas.
• Provide services that may include physical exams, interpreting diagnostic tests, closing incisions, managing ventilator settings, vasopressors, advanced skills, and counseling patients about treatment.
• Provide coordination and clinical services across the continuum of care for medical/surgical specialty patients.
• APPs plan and conduct ongoing education and training.
• Operate under physician-directed protocols for all Advanced Practice Provider duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• Three years Acute Care in Cardiac, Pulmonary, ED, Critical Care or Pediatric Critical Care.

Education

• Masters - Nursing; Or - Bachelors - Physician Assistant

Credentials

• Adv Pract RN License
• BLS/ACLS
