• Night Shift: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Call Schedule: None

Responsibilities

• In collaboration with a Critical Care physician, provide critical care services to all patients in the Cardiovascular, Neurologic or Trauma Intensive Care Units.
• Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform any required procedures.
• Provide cross cover for overnight critical care issues.
• Perform invasive procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement and intubation.
• The Critical Care APP team works closely with primary or consulting services to provide comprehensive care.
• The Critical Care APP attends codes in assigned units and may be called to assist with rapid responses.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date.
• Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date.

Education

Master's degree in Nursing required.
