Job summary

Mount Carmel in Ohio is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to deliver primary and acute neonatal care within our health system. The NP will practice according to scope and organizational standards while aligning with our mission and values.

The role features rotating 12- or 24-hour shifts, part-time engagement (about 30 hours per week), and extensive patient care responsibilities within a high-acuity NICU setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing; Master’s degree preferred.
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program completed.
• Current RN license in Ohio and authority to practice as APRN.
• NCC certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner required.
• BLS, NRP certifications maintained.
• Two years of nursing experience preferred.

Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Position Purpose

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner provides primary or acute healthcare services for certain acute or chronic health conditions in specific populations in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing; Preferred Master’s Degree; Graduate of a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Licensure / Certification: Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio; Holds Certificate of Authority for Advanced Practice Nursing in the State of Ohio; NCC certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner required,
• Maintains BLS, NRP and Certificate of Authority.
• Experience: Minimum of two years recent and relevant nursing experience preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills
• Has knowledge of Certificate to Prescribe.
• Demonstrated leadership and teaching abilities.
• This position will work 12 or 24 hour shifts, rotating schedule.
