Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide high-quality post-ICU care in a fast-paced environment. This PRN position offers weekday coverage with a compensation of $65/hour, and opportunities for future full-time advancement as our team grows.

The APRN will perform rounds, collaborate with physicians and pharmacists, and manage patient assessments, plan of care, and documentation within scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice is required.
• National NP certification (Adult, Acute Care or Family) required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily clinical rounds and lead multidisciplinary rounds.
• Assess patients, review diagnostics, and modify plans of care.
• Prescribe treatments within scope of practice and ensure proper documentation.
• Recognize decompensation and seek appropriate consultations.
• Improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practice and safety protocols.
