Job summary

Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago’s Lakeview area seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner with APRN-CNS credentials to join the Nursing Staff Development team. The role includes prescribing therapies, leading education initiatives, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

The candidate will maintain CNS certification, Illinois APRN/Nurse license and DEA readiness, while supporting flexible scheduling and 40-hour weeks in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Masters of Nursing Degree as APRN-CNS required.
• Current Illinois APRN License.
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Current Illinois Controlled Substance License within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes and documents accurate comprehensive history and physical assessments.
• Performs ordering, conducting, supervising, and interpreting diagnostic studies.
• Prescribes treatments and therapies.
• Implements primary and secondary prevention and manages acute/chronic conditions.
• Provides clear documentation and care plans.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team on care plans.
• Meets billing/productivity metrics and maintains documentation.
• Provides education to patients and families.
