Summary of Job Duties:The primary duty of the APP is to care for observation patients admitted from the Emergency Department (ED) to the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU). These patients are admitted under fairly restrictive protocols and are expected to be treated and discharged within 24 hours of admission. Duties also include caring for undifferentiated patients in the Emergency Department setting.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in nursing for APRNs or Master of Science Awarded in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Minimum of two years APP experience in an acute care setting, -OR- recently licensed APP with 5 years' experience in an acute care setting.
