Job Description Summary:

Provides cancer genetic focused care to Oncology patients by reviewing family history, educating patients, suggesting and facilitating appropriate genetic testing to minimize the risk of disease and informing the patient’s plan of care. Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of the role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Keeps abreast of development in genetics and genomics. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures

Position Qualifications/Requirements

Education:

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Board certification as APRN from nationally accredited organization such as American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
  • AGN-BC certification preferred

Previous Experience:

  • Two years’ of relevant experience.

  • Self-Management: Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development. Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limited supervision. Ability to work remotely effectively as required.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
  • Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Florida APRN license.
  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings. Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required.
