Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced Security Engineering Manager for Stores AppSec to lead a team of security engineers and TPMs. You will drive the strategic direction of AppSec review, manage high-visibility engagements, and partner with multiple teams to strengthen security across Amazon services.

The role emphasizes ownership, strong communication, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while delivering secure, scalable solutions and mentoring engineers to grow their careers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Information security certifications such as CISSP or GIAC.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of Security Engineers and TPMs for AppSec of Amazon services.
• Operate with high ownership, drive strategic priorities, and navigate ambiguous engagements.
• Set goals and priorities for the Application Security review team.
• Drive strategic initiatives and partner with multiple teams and leadership across Amazon.
• Foster a healthy, collaborative culture and ensure delivery of results.
• Write and deliver high-quality documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Promote security process adoption, automation, and tooling to improve efficiency.
