Overview

Software Engineer – Margin Calculations and Reporting PlatformA key engineering role within the Prime Finance Services organization, focusing on developing and enhancing scalable margin calculation engines that support global financial operations.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable application systems for Margin Calculation Services and reporting, aligned with organizational technology initiatives.
  • Consult with users, clients, and technology groups to diagnose issues and recommend programming solutions, enhancing system functionality and business processes.
  • Lead all phases of the software development lifecycle—analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation—ensuring timely, high‑quality project delivery.
  • Provide user and operational support to business users, ensuring optimal system design and functionality.
  • Partner closely with project managers, business stakeholders, and senior managers to translate complex business requirements into well‑architected technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices and essential procedures, advocating for security measures and regulatory compliance.
  • Operate with a high degree of independence and judgment, driving critical initiatives to successful completion.
  • Proactively assess and manage technical risks, maintaining transparent reporting of control issues.
Qualifications
  • 4‑6 years of progressive experience in systems analysis and software application development.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Strong proficiency in Java, including core, collections, concurrency, streams, and TDD.
    • Extensive experience with Spring (Core, Batch, Integration, MVC, Boot, Data) and Hibernate.
    • Knowledge of RESTful API development, JAX‑RS, JPA, JAXB, and JSON frameworks.
    • Experience with distributed caches (e.g., Apache Gemfire), JMS, and Kafka.
    • Testing with JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock.
    • Performance enhancements using parallel processing, multithreading, and synchronization.
    • Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux environments.
    • Proficient with SQL and job scheduling.
    • Version control experience with Git.
  • Methodology – Working knowledge of project management techniques, with a focus on agile methodologies.
  • Adaptability – Thrive in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple deadlines, and adapt quickly to evolving requirements.
  • Collaboration – Strong team player with excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with global teams.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $121,200.00–$181,800.00, along with discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards for eligible employees.
