Job summary

Aitp in Germany offers an apprenticeship for aspiring draftsmen to learn to create precise, to-scale plans and construction documents for buildings and infrastructure, based on architects' sketches and engineers' specs.

You will learn to create drafts and designs, as well as 3D construction documents, using the latest CAD software, and you will learn to calculate material requirements and parts lists to support actual construction.

Qualifications

• Entry is via apprenticeship; successful completion of the intermediate school-leaving certificate or higher.
• Strong grades in German and the natural sciences are preferred.
• Ability to work accurately and neatly, with distinct spatial imagination.
• Enjoy working with computer technology.

Responsibilities

• Learn to create drafts and designs as well as construction and execution drawings according to architects' and engineers' specifications.
• Assist in creating construction documents in 3D using CAD software.
• Learn to calculate building material requirements, parts lists and measurements so construction can take place.
