Job summary

Penske Logistics in Princeton, Indiana is seeking immediate, full-time Apprentice Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Earn $24.75 per hour to start with increases within the first year, local home daily, no touch freight, and drop-and-hook operations.

As a Penske apprentice, you will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with safety-focused features and in-cab cameras. Strong safety culture and benefits await the successful candidate who meets CDL requirements and is a Penske-approved school

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required and domiciled in the U.S.
• Three years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Must be a Penske approved CDL School graduate or US Armed Forces veteran
• Must be able to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• English language proficiency per federal law
• Must pass background check and drug screening
• DOT safety sensitive role

Responsibilities

• Deliver freight to assigned locations and drop and hook
• Provide high-level customer service during deliveries

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a Penske approved CDL School (CDL 160, Ivy Tech, Truck Drivers Institute, New England Tractor Trailer Training School), or a current or former member of the US Armed Forces
• Valid Class A CDL required. Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required
• 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
• In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency
• Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required.
• This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.
