Job summary

McLaren Boston is looking for an Apprentice Technician to join our shop. You will conduct multi-point inspections and perform routine maintenance to keep customers' vehicles safe and reliable.

We offer full-time employment with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package. A valid driver’s license is required, along with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an automotive service environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as an auto technician in an OEM dealership.
• 21+ years old.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to bend, move, lift and physically perform duties in the scope of this position.
• Attention to detail.
• Team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Conduct multi-point inspections and make appropriate recommendations to ensure the customer has a safe and reliable vehicle
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as needed
• Inspect tire pressure, rotate, replace and balance tires as needed
• Inspect and replace windshield wipers as needed
• Complete pre-delivery inspection on new cars
• Service vehicles in a timely manner for routine scheduled maintenance in accordance with dealer and manufacturer recommendations
• Communicate with the designated Service Manager or Advisor on a regular basis about work performed, necessary changes, new parts needed or any other concerns related to repair or maintenance work on vehicles
• Follow all safety requirements and local and federal standards when working with all tools and equipment
• Adhere to best practices when working in the automotive service environment by reporting any accidents or incidents to management as soon as possible
