Job summary

Parks Marina Inc. in Okoboji, IA is seeking a maintenance/service technician to perform routine services, assist in diagnosing and repairing boats and marine systems, and maintain a clean, safe shop environment.

You will support service advisors and technicians, operate equipment and forklifts, and help with boat handling for service, testing and delivery. The role emphasizes strong customer service, teamwork, and attention to detail, with duties including documentation and collaboration across

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, winterization, summerization, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
• Assist technicians in diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing boats, engines, trailers, and marine systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following safety policies and procedures.
• Properly operate shop equipment, tools, forklifts, trailers, and boats safely.
• Move, launch, retrieve, and transport boats for service, testing, storage, and delivery.
• Accurately complete work orders, service documentation, and technician notes.
• Perform additional duties to support marina operations.
• Communicate professionally with service advisors, technicians, and other departments to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Assist in installing marine accessories and electronics
• Deliver exceptional customer service by supporting Parks Marina commitment to quality, integrity, and boating experiences.

Preferred

• Previous experience in marine, automotive, powersports, agricultural, diesel, or heavy equipment repair.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Forklift or boat handling experience.
• Ability to lift packages and stand for extended periods of time.
