VW Audi Boise is seeking an Apprentice Technician to join our service team. This entry-level role offers hands-on learning from experienced technicians and a clear path to becoming a certified VW or Audi technician.

You will assist with maintenance and repairs, perform basic services, and participate in ongoing training. A strong work ethic, basic mechanical aptitude, and a willingness to learn are essential, with paid training provided and opportunities for advancement within the service

Qualifications

• Strong interest in pursuing a career as an automotive technician.
• Completion of (or current enrollment in) an automotive technology program preferred, but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Own basic hand tools a plus (tool program available).

Responsibilities

• Assist certified technicians with vehicle maintenance and repair work.
• Perform basic service tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections.
• Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software-related vehicle issues.
• Keep the shop, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Road test vehicles as needed to confirm repairs.
• Accurately document work performed and parts used.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training and manufacturer certification programs.

What You'll Do
