Job summary

Velocity Vehicle Group is seeking an Apprentice Technician to support the truck repair process. You will create detailed repair plans, submit parts requests, tag warranty parts, and communicate progress to the Foreman daily, while organizing toolboxes and maintaining a safe workspace.

What You’ll Do

As an Apprentice Technician you will help ensure the efficient functioning of the truck repair process. Responsibilities include creating detailed repair plans, submitting parts requisitions, tagging all warranty parts, returning parts with core value, and communicating progress updates to the Foreman daily. You will also organize toolboxes and maintain a clean, safe workstation, while proactively learning service department operations and technician duties. Ample training opportunities, including shadowing experienced master techs, support your career development.

Job Duties

• Perform oil change
• Perform diesel particulate filter cleaning
• Perform brake inspections and work on brakes
• Perform general maintenance of the service department, including sweeping, cleaning, and other maintenance tasks as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Completion of a technician training course or equivalent work knowledge
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Mechanical aptitude
• Positive attitude
• Motivated

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
• Must pass post‑offer drug screening, physical examination (including a lift test), and background check

Compensation

• $18‑$21/hour depending on skills and experience
