Job summary

Apprentices gain hands-on skills in low-voltage security systems, receive milestone pay adjustments, and a $2,000 graduation bonus. Promotion to a technician level follows, with opportunities for advancement within Securitas Technology in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on intrusion, video, access control, fire and integrated systems.
• Test, inspect and clean equipment including DVRs and video devices.
• Inspect and replace batteries in wireless devices and control panels.
• Verify access control devices and intrusion points are functioning properly.
• Test communications and backup signals; inspect vaults, safes, and ATMs.
• Document inspections and complete checklists for each maintenance call.
• Communicate with customers to schedule calls and provide ETA.
• Escalate issues and communicate problems to the team.
• Maintain professional interaction with customers and mentors.
