Pay, benefits, other cool stuff:
Apprentice Technicians can expect to earn between $60,000 and $150,000 in their first year.
The Technician role is 100% commission. There is NO CAP on commissions.
Get your very own wrapped van or truck with a gas card. Tools provided.
Steady job flow with assigned dispatcher to keep you busy.
Medical, dental, vision, 401K.
W2-NOT a 1099 job.

The Journey of an Apprentice Technician:
Our apprenticeship is a 4 week training program at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ.
A1 covers flights and accommodations for the duration of your training in Phoenix. (All apprenticeship/training weeks are paid at anhourly rate of $20/hour. You will typically work 45-50 hours a week while an apprentice, and qualify for overtime for hours over 40 in a week, so should average $1,000 a week or more.)
Once you complete training, you will receive a $1,000 bonus, and graduate to a junior technician. You will perform your duties as a technician in and around your market. Boom!
Interview Process:
Our interview process is not long, but it’s thorough. We want to make sure that each person who joins the team is the right fit. And that we are the right fit for you!
After we review your application, you will be contacted for an interview with a recruiter if we want to know more. Plan on up to 30 minutes.
Next step is an interview with the Hiring Manager. Plan on approximately 60 minutes.
Last step is when the fun begins: you will be invited to ride along with one of our technicians so you can see what life as a Technician is really like. Plan on a full day.

You don’t like driving. Your company vehicle is your office, and you will spend quite a bit of time driving to customer’s homes
You are not likely to follow what you were taught in class and apply it with gusto
The Job:
Travel to various service calls to meet customers in their residence and advise on repair, maintenance or purchase of a new door.
Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.
Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Order replacement parts.
Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools.
Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
Remove parts or components from equipment.
Install hardware or other interior fixtures.
Run wiring to connect equipment.
Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
Test mechanical equipment to ensure its functioning properly.
Document operational activities
Collect payments for goods or services
Basic Requirements:
Be nice! I know, we shouldn’t have to say that, but we mean it
Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods
Physically able to lift 75lbs
Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
Pre-employment drug test (not including THC) and criminal background checkrequired
Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc as well as tablet and computer use.
Basic knowledge of hand tools
GED or HS diploma not required, however reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required
Professional appearance
Employment requires current eligibility to legally work in the United States
