Base pay range

$54,000.00/yr - $60,000.00/yr

Apprentice Rigger – $54,000.00 - $60,000.00 + Benefits – Shelbyville, KY (75% travel with generous travel per diem)

Edwards Moving & Rigging, family-owned and operated, is an industry leader in heavy hauling and specialized rigging and has an opening for the position of Apprentice Rigger.

In this role, you will play a vital role in our operations. You will learn from experienced professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general laborer activities as a crew member.
• Operate various equipment such as forklifts and skid steers.
• Attach loads to rigging equipment to support or prepare them for moving, using hand or power tools.
• Inspect and test rigging equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Operate machines or processes using control mechanisms or direct activity, including hand or power tools, hydraulic tools, or precision measuring tools.

The Person

• Experience in heavy rigging, crane, construction, or heavy trucking industries is a plus.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• Must speak and read fluent English to pass safety training and access safety-sensitive environments.
• Must have and maintain a clean criminal record and be subject to ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
• Willing to travel extensively, approximately 150-200 nights per year.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
