Job summary

Superdrug is seeking an Apprentice Sales Assistant to join our in-store team in the UK. You will serve customers with a smile, promote Star Buys and help every guest leave feeling great. The role is hands-on, fast-paced and focused on learning through real on-the-job training.

You’ll support stock and store targets, with a clear path to progression. Training lasts 12 months in-store, leading to a Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship and ongoing development with your team and tutor.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and improve knowledge/skills.
• Grade 4 / C GCSE in English and maths.
• Available for full-time shifts and not in education.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Brand new to retail.

Responsibilities

As an Apprentice Sales Assistant at Superdrug, you’ll be right at the heart of the action—serving customers with a smile, sharing our amazing Star Buys, and making sure everyone leaves feeling great!

You’ll help keep the store looking its best and fully stocked, while playing a key role in smashing store targets.

It’s a hands-on, fast-paced role that’s never boring and packed with chances to learn. We see our Apprentice Sales Assistants as future Team Leaders, and we’ll give you everything you need to grow—with brilliant training, and real opportunities to progress.

Your training will take place in-store over the first 12 months, so no college days and no homework! At the end of your training period, you will complete a discussion around your experiences and an observation of you performing your role. You will be supported throughout by your team and your tutor to achieve your Retailer Level 2 Apprenticeship

What you’ll bring to the role:

Passionate about health & beauty and customer service

Desire to learn and improve your knowledge/skills

Flexible in working hours and adaptable to change

• You have a grade 4 / C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and maths (national 4’s for Scotland)
• You are not currently in any form of education, and you are available for full time shifts
• You HAVEN’T completed a Retail Apprenticeship before
• You are eligible to work in the UK
• You are brand new to retail
