Job summary

Senra Systems in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking an Apprentice Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of harnesses and hardware against engineering drawings, industry specs, and internal quality requirements.

You will create inspection documentation (FAIRs, inspection reports, CoCs, EIDPs), drive NCRs to closure, investigate issues, and implement corrective actions while supporting lean manufacturing and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Technical Degree in a related field preferred).
  • 6 months of experience in Electronics Quality inspection or manufacturing roles
  • Hands on experience inspection of harnesses to IPC-620 or NASA 8739.4 Class 3
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and industry specifications.
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset — takes initiative, seeks feedback, and embraces challenges

Responsibilities

  • Conduct incoming inspections as required to support production timelines.
  • Create and maintain inspection documentation, including FAIRs, Inspection Reports, CoCs, and EIDPs.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality products from Senra’s manufacturing team, supporting production, operations, and delivery targets.
  • Drive Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to closure, supporting disposition, approvals, and verification activities as required.
  • Investigate, document, and resolve product and process issues, ensuring proper corrective actions are implemented and verified.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements that enhance product quality, reduce inefficiencies, and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Perform product testing on hardware as required to verify performance and quality.
  • Support additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to meet production deadlines and operational goals

Job description

The Apprentice Quality Inspector role will be responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of harnesses and hardware to ensure compliance with internal, external, and industry specifications. This role plays a key part in supporting production goals, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a quality-first mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.

What you’ll own:

  • Perform in-process and final inspections of hardware against engineering drawings, industry specifications, and internal/external quality requirements.

What you’ll bring to the team:

Bonus Points:

  • 1 years of experience in quality inspection
  • Hands on experience inspecting aerospace or defense hardware
  • IPC-620, IPC-610 and NASA-STD-8739.4 certified
  • Previous experience working at a fast-paced, high-growth startup
  • Familiarity with inspection techniques, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective action processes (CAPA).
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and non-conformance reporting (NCR) processes.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
  • Hourly Range: $19.00-$26.50
  • This is an onsite role that will be based at our Redondo Beach headquarters.
