Job summary

ASI Hastings Inc. in San Diego, CA is seeking a Plumbing Install Apprentice to start a rewarding career in the plumbing trades.

You will assist in installing residential plumbing systems, follow guidance from senior plumbers, and gain hands-on experience across fixtures, piping, and appliances. Ideal candidates are physically capable, with a reliable driver's license and a strong work ethic, eager to learn and adhere to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with plumbing tools and machinery.
• Physical ability to perform labor tasks and lift materials.
• Ability to read and follow directions from supervisors.
• Valid driver’s license for the working state.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing plumbing systems in residential settings.
• Follow instructions from senior plumbers to ensure quality workmanship.
• Work with experienced plumber on fixtures and piping.
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes with attention to infrastructure.
• Use a variety of plumbing tools and equipment.
• Complete tasks according to safety and quality standards.
• Communicate with team to ensure efficient project completion.
• Provide customer service by addressing client questions professionally.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances in residential settings
• Follow instructions from senior plumbers to ensure high-quality workmanship
• Work with experienced plumber installing residential plumbing fixtures and piping
• Cut, assemble, and install pipes and tubes with attention to existing infrastructure (e.g., electrical wiring)
• Use a variety of plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers etc.)
• Complete all tasks in accordance with company quality and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed efficiently
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions and concerns professionally
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Work Environment:

Work in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust. Reasonable accommodation may be made to perform essential functions.

Pay Range

$20 — $22 USD
