Job summary

Roth Home, part of TurnPoint Services, is hiring an Apprentice Plumber in Oregon. You’ll learn the trade hands-on under experienced plumbers, gaining skills in installation, maintenance, and repair for residential and commercial settings.

In this role, you’ll follow safety protocols, read blueprints, and work toward journeyman licensure while contributing to high-quality, safe work for our customers. Excellent growth opportunities await within a national network.

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems for residential and commercial projects.
  • Measure, cut, thread, join, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Troubleshoot leaks, clogs, and perform preventive maintenance tasks like flushing water heaters and inspecting pipes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications for accurate installations.
  • Install and maintain fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, and water heaters.
  • Prepare tools, materials, and job sites, maintaining safety and cleanliness at all times.
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and local plumbing codes.
  • Provide professional, courteous service to customers and teammates.
  • Collaborate with the plumbing team to meet schedules and quality standards.
  • Participate in ongoing apprenticeship training to progress toward journeyman licensure.

Role Overview

Apprentice Plumbing (2025-1035)

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, gas, and hydronic piping for residential and commercial projects.
  • Measure, cut, thread, join, and assemble pipes and plumbing components using hand and power tools under supervision.
  • Support troubleshooting and repair of leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues, including preventive maintenance tasks like flushing water heaters and inspecting pipes.
  • Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specifications to ensure accurate installations.
  • Help install and maintain plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, faucets, water heaters, boilers, disposals, and commercial restroom assemblies.
  • Prepare and organize tools, materials, and job sites, maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, and safety at all times.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and local plumbing codes.
  • Provide professional, courteous service when interacting with customers, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Work closely with the plumbing team to complete projects on schedule while meeting quality and code requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing apprenticeship training and skill development, gaining hands‑on experience and advancing toward journeyman licensure.
