Under supervision, maintain the flow and drainage of water, air, and other gases by assembling, installing and repairing pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures district-wide. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all plumbing systems in district facilities.

Maintenance and Repair Plumbing Systems:

Equipment Used:
Hand and power tools; pipe bender; propane torch; welding equipment; sewer rooter; heavy equipment, including forklift, trencher, backhoe.
Mental Demands:
Reading and basic math, maintain emotional control under stress and demanding situations.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Must have good physical coordination, flexibility, balance, and upper body strength to allow twisting and turning of upper torso while handling components/tools weighing up to 75 lbs.; ability to climb into and work in confined spaces. Will occasionally lift and carry weights of 100 lbs. for short distances. Work outside and inside; exposure to hot and cold temperatures; work weekends/irregular hours as directed. Long-term standing, climbing, stooping, bending, and kneeling. May be subject to chemical/mechanical hazards. Ability to tolerate moderate amounts of dust/fumes, cold/wet/muddy places and under buildings. Candidate will be required to pass a rigorous physical exam.
