Job summary

Kotz Heating and Air in Waterford, MI is seeking an Apprentice Plumber to assist with residential service and replacement installations. You will work under a journeyman or master plumber, performing tasks with varied fixtures and equipment and gaining hands-on experience.

The role offers hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime and benefits including potential certification training. Competitive hourly wages reflect experience and performance.

Qualifications

• 6 months+ experience in residential plumbing or combination of education and experience
• Valid plumber's apprenticeship card, or ability to acquire once employed
• Experience using common plumbing tools listed in qualifications
• Customer service and clear communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking abilities
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform residential plumbing work including service and replacement installations
• Collaborate with journeyman or master plumber
• Maintain, service, repair, and install plumbing fixtures and equipment

Apprentice Plumber | $20.00 to $30.00 per hour, including spiffs

Work hours:

7:30 am to 5:00 pm | Monday through Friday | occasional overtime

Job Duties

• Residential plumbing, both service and replacement installations
• Working with a journeyman or master plumber
• Work involves performance of maintaining, servicing, repairing, and new installations of a variety of plumbing fixtures and equipment
• Utilizing tools of the trades such as snakes, augers, drills, saws, hammers, measuring tape, levels and screwdrivers
• Consulting with customers about service, repair and replacement options
• Working in all types of weather

Qualifications
