Omaha Public Power District seeks a Peaking Station Technician Apprentice to support safe operation and maintenance of District facilities in Bellevue, NE. You will complete a three-year apprenticeship combining coursework and hands-on training, then finish station-specific and operations training for your location.
The program builds comprehensive technical skills and readiness to operate critical systems. Solid communication, teamwork, and a valid drivers license are required.
Perform essential duties that support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of equipment at the District¿s Peaking Stations and other facilities as needed. This role offers a structured career path: you will develop comprehensive technical skills by completing the three¿year Peaking Station Technician Apprenticeship Program, which includes formal coursework and hands¿on training aligned with established Apprenticeship Program Standards. Successful candidates will also complete all station¿specific training and the Operations Training Program required for their assigned location(s), ensuring full readiness to operate and maintain critical District systems.
