Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Painter Apprentice to join our team of skilled professionals through the local painters union. This is an entry-level position offering hands-on training in industrial and commercial painting, with a focus on safety, craftsmanship, and union values.

Responsibilities
  • Assist journeyperson painters in preparing and finishing surfaces including drywall, metal, concrete, and wood.
  • Apply protective coatings, primers, and decorative finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Set up and dismantle scaffolding, ladders, and containment systems.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and union safety standards.
  • Attend required classroom instruction through the local painters union.
  • Learn to read blueprints, follow specifications, and use trade tools and materials properly.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a desire to learn a skilled trade.
