Job summary

Pearle Vision in Cincinnati is seeking an Apprentice Optician to deliver exceptional customer experiences and support the eyecare team. You will greet customers, assist with selecting frames and lenses, and help ensure prescriptions are reviewed under supervision.

The role emphasizes accurate measurements, eyewear fitting, product knowledge, and proper use of store software to process orders and coordinate delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Registered in State licensure program (where applicable) or equivalent schooling.
• Previous optical and retail experience.
• Knowledge of State/Prov Licensing and Guidelines.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and practices.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers and delivers service.
• Explains how to shop at Pearle Vision and escorts customers in-store.
• Under guidance, reviews prescriptions and identifies special needs.
• Demonstrates adherence to NECE and safe work habits.
• Operates eyewear consultation folder to educate customers on products, guarantees and services.
• Under guidance from an Optician, assists with measurements and fitting eyewear.
• Presents features/benefits of lenses and frames, helps select frames/lenses.
• Operates the software system and ensures eyewear processing and delivery.
