Job summary

LensCrafters in Lexington, KY is seeking a Part-Time Apprentice Optician to join our team. You will support customers, guide them through frame and lens selections, and assist with measurements and fittings to deliver the LensCrafters Experience.

You will work under the Apprentice Program, learn optical theory and merchandise, use POS systems, and help ensure timely delivery and high-quality service. This role offers a path to professional development and a collaborative store environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Part of a sanctioned Apprentice Program.
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
• Knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise.
• Knowledge of current store merchandise.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Awareness of current fashion trends.
• Sales and service skills.
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
• Embrace new technology and change.

Responsibilities

• Delivers the LensCrafters Experience by assisting customers and following the sales process.
• Assist customers in selecting frames and lenses for vision, lifestyle, and budget needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure accuracy.
• Explain LensCrafters guarantees and services; perform fittings and dispensing.
• Operate POS and handle transactions with accuracy and security.
