Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. in Alabama seeks an Apprentice B Lineman to support heavy equipment operation in the construction and maintenance of our power grid. You will assist the team in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Works safely while performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work on energized or de-energized overhead lines.
• Inspects rubber goods and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for proper use.
• Sets poles and anchors and assists with installing transformers, arrestors, cross-arms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Assists in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems.
• Maintains company vehicles, equipment, and tools in good working order.
• Capable of reading/writing and communicating effectively.
• Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces and performing rigorous physical labor.
