Job summary

Native Energy Solutions LLC is seeking an Apprentice Linemen/Groundsman to join our team in Big Spring, Texas. In this role, you'll support linemen in installing and maintaining electrical distribution and transmission lines. Responsibilities include setting up job sites, assisting with tools, and operating heavy equipment. We're looking for individuals with a basic understanding of electrical safety, effective communication skills, and a Class C or Class A Driver's License. Job description

We are an automation and electrical integrator providing services to the oil and gas, industrial, and related industries. Our expertise covers virtually all facets of electrical contracting for the upstream oil and gas industries, including specialty expertise in new well sites and production facility electrification.

Job Summary

Apprentice Linemen/Groundsman works with line crews in the power/utility industry supporting linemen who install and maintain electrical distribution and transmission lines.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up job sites and safety zones
• Hand tools and materials to lineman
• Dig holes, set poles and anchor guy wires
• Operate equipment augers, trenchers, bucket trucks
• Once trained direct traffic in work zones
• Maintain and organize tools and trucks

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of electricity and safety
• Ability to follow strict safety protocols
• Team communication – working closely with a crew
• Class C or Class A Driver's License; CDL preferred

Physical Demands

• Heavy lifting 50-100lbs
• Climbing
• Bending
• Working at heights
• Working outdoors in all weather (Texas heat included)

Work Environment

• Outdoor job sites such as utility right-of-way work, construction yards, or maintenance sites.
• Variable conditions (traffic control zones, slopes, wet/ice surfaces, uneven ground).
