Corewell Health in St. Joseph, MI, is seeking an Interventional Radiology Apprentice to assist the interventional team with imaging exams, sterile technique, and patient prep.
The role emphasizes ALARA radiation protection and supporting the physician during procedures. You will scrub in, prepare sterile trays, assist with IV starts, and help ensure equipment readiness, patient safety, and accurate charting in hospital systems.
Job Summary Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures performs diagnostic Interventional Radiology (IR) exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation while applying ALARA principles of radiation protection. The Apprentice may be required to perform IV starts and prep patients. The apprentice scrubs in with the interventional physician and pracitices sterile technique, prepares the sterile tray with the appropriate supplies and assists the physician with procedures, has a knowledge of all of the supplies needed by the physician to perform interventions.
