Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Apprentice Instrumentation Fitter on the 2nd shift to support the Rocket Development Facility. The role focuses on building, installing, and maintaining ground support equipment and instrumentation for engine testing and structural stands.

You will collaborate with engineers, operate high-pressure systems, and ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires hands-on mechanical skills and ability to read blueprints.
• Familiarity with GSE hardware and LOX/fuel related systems preferred.
• Awareness of safety policies and quality procedures is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide ground support equipment (GSE) technician support, building and maintaining LOX/fuel related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and hardware as needed.
• Operate and maintain high-pressure systems, pumps, and related tooling.
• Fabricate and repair GSE hardware, documenting activities with engineers.
• Ensure materials are clean and inspected per Oxygen Service standards.
