Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company seeks seasonal staff for June Mountain. You will set up lesson areas, check in students, assist instructors, manage rentals, and help with meals while supervising children in varied weather.

The role emphasizes friendliness, teamwork, and a positive attitude to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for guests of all ages. This position offers an hourly wage and the chance to work in a ski resort environment with discount benefits and a family-friendly culture.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and friendly, interested in working with children.
• Must be flexible, positive, a team player and happy to work in variable weather conditions.
• Experience working with children (such as babysitting) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down of lesson and meeting areas.
• Check in students to Ski & Snowboard lessons.
• Support instructors with class handling and supervise kids.
• Assist with lesson sales and general support.
• Handle equipment rentals and related tasks.
• Serve and assist during lunch and snack times.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors.
• Operate surface lifts and keep ski school areas clean.

A little about the position:

Set up and tear down of lesson and meeting areas. Checking in students to their Ski & Snowboard lessons. Supporting instructors with class handling, entertaining kids or bathroom breaks. Lesson sales and support. Equipment rentals. Serving and assisting at lunch and snack times. Supervision of children both indoors and outdoors. Operation of Surface Lifts. Cleaning of all Ski School areas throughout the day and at the end of the day.

Hourly pay rate: $20-$21.47
